ラファエル・ナダルが棄権することを報告「We are waiting for you, we love you Rafa 」

プロテニスプレイヤーのラファエル・ナダルが7日、自身のインスタグラムを更新した。

「It is with great sadness that I have to withdraw from this amazing tournament. I have been working hard and practicing and you all know I took a test this weekend but I don’t find myself ready to play at the highest level at such an important event.(この素晴らしいトーナメントを辞退しなければならないのはとても悲しい。懸命に練習してきたし、今週末にテストを受けたことは皆さんもご存知の通りだが、このような重要な大会で最高レベルのプレーをする準備が自分にはできていない。)」と綴り、写真をアップ。

BNPパリバOPを棄権することを報告した。元世界ランキング３位のミロシュ・ラオニッチと対戦する予定だった。

また「It is not an easy decision, it’s a tough one as a matter of fact but I can’t lie to myself and lie to the thousands of fans.I will miss you all and I am sure the tournament will be a great success(簡単な決断ではないし、実のところ厳しいものだけど、自分に嘘をつくことはできないし、何千人ものファンに嘘をつくこともできない。皆さんがいなくて寂しいですが、大会は大成功すると確信しています)」と自身の思いも語っている。
