“Bank of Craft” is a project that promotes the use of traditional crafts in theregional ecosystem by fusing creative works, art, and digital technology todevelop tourism resources, solve regional issues, and create a new primaryresource of revenue in craft production areas, rather than just maintaining thevalue of the craft as a product.
As the first edition of this project, Kyoto Nishijin Textile, FINEPLAY, 430(Four-Thirty),and CURRENT have joined this collaboration to create the premium skateboards and kendamas, which are now on sale.

This collaboration released the skateboard that features the designof Kyoto’s Nishijin-ori*, one of Japan’s most famous traditional craft products on it, andthe kendama that meets a luxurious and traditional design of Wind God andThunder God, and Noe Tanzaku.
You can not only enjoy using these products in an original way ofusing but also enhance your room’s decor with them as an interioraccessory.

*What is Nishijin-ori(/Nishijin textile)?
Nishijin-ori is a traditional craft product made by the traditional Japanese techniques that has been passed down from ancient times. The origin of this technique was invented 1,200 years ago and this product is a high-grade silk fabric produced through high-mix low-volume manufacturing in Nishijin, Kyoto.

This kendama is made in collaboration with Nishijin textile (Kyoto),a traditional Japanese craft design, and “430 (Four-Thirty)”, theleader of Japanese kendama culture. The Sarado is enlarged compared to theregular one so that both beginners and experts can handle it, and the size ofthe ball hole is also adjusted to larger size specifications.
The soft and splendid beech material used for the product allows theusers to enjoy how the material ages by the texture and visual appearance. Thisproduct is also packaged in a special paulownia box so you can enjoy aluxurious look as an interior accessory by keeping it in the box.
